On the intake form I have for potential clients one of the questions I ask is:
What is the biggest problem you are experiencing with your health right now?
And the majority of the time the response I receive is:
My weight.
And I get it because there is a $71 billion weight loss industry selling you this exact story. But saying that weight is the problem is like saying credit card debt is the problem. Credit card debt isn't something that just magically appears overnight, rather it's an accumulation of repeated behaviors — aka your spending habits. So if you want to get out of debt AND STAY out of debt, you'll have to do more than just pay off your credit card balance, You'll also need to change your spending habits, because that's where the real problem lies. The same goes for your weight. Just like debt is a product of your spending habits, Your weight is a product of: ✔ Your exercise habits ✔ Your eating habits ✔ Your boundary setting habits ✔ Your mindset habits ✔ Your sleeping habits ✔ Your time management habits When you focus on your weight, you are focusing on the symptom of the problem, not the cause of the problem. Because the real problem isn't your weight, It's that your current habits do not support the future life you desire. But if you change your habits,
You change your future.
