One Question to Ask Yourself as You Enter the New Year

"We cannot become what we need to be by remaining what we are." – Max De Pree

Who’d have thought we’d have nearly 2 years of pandemic living under our belts by now! 😲

Despite our lives being changed (some more drastically than others), there’s always a silver lining and some pretty amazing things happened in 2021.

Some of the highlights for me were:

  • Celebrated my first wedding anniversary (considering how a majority of that time was spent in our "cozy" NYC apartment, this is a major accomplishment 😜)

  • Had my most successful year financially (which also happened to by my first full year as an entrepreneur 💪)

  • Spent more time visiting with family than I have in at least the previous 4 years combined (one of the many benefits of working remotely 💻)

And some of the things I’m excited about as we move into 2022 are:

  • Continuing to grow my business and expanding my group coaching offerings

  • Exploring living options outside of NYC

  • Maaayyybe getting a second dog (Alejandro if you're reading this...🙏😘)

I always like to spend time reflecting at the end of the year. Did I achieve my goals? What worked well? What didn’t? Where do I want to put my attention going forward? It’s not about New Year’s Resolutions for me. It never has been.

We all know that resolutions are practically made for abandonment since less than 10% of people who set a resolution actually keep it.

I believe that if you want to make a change and create a different reality for yourself in any area of your life, you must start NOW. Not Monday, not January 1st – but right now.

And I’d love for you to reflect on this...

Imagine your life 1 year from now. What if everything in your life is EXACTLY the same as it is right now – your work, relationships, how you spend your time, your finances, etc.

If nothing changed from how it is today, how would that make you feel?

For most people, even though they’re happy on the surface, not growing over the years leads to frustration, lack of fulfillment and that feeling of being "stuck".

Because one of our needs as humans is GROWTH...you’ve probably heard the phrase “If you’re not growing you’re dying”...

So, how would you feel if nothing changed?

The thing is…I know that you, me, and everyone in this world is capable and deserving of more.

And if you’re stressed, overwhelmed, or even depressed by the thought of being in exactly in the same place you are today 1 year from now then ask yourself,

What is ONE thing that you can do TODAY to help make your future different?

And if you need help growing and changing in 2022 and beyond, I’m here to support you on that journey.

So, Happy New Year to you! I hope it's a good one. 😉
