Being Consistent Is Not the Same as Being Perfect

"Eighty percent of success is showing up." — Woody Allen

It's that time of year again.

You know the one.

The time when 95% of people fall off the wagon.

When they throw in the towel,

When they say "I'm just too busy right now. I'll start in the New Year."

🙄🙄🙄

I'm sure you've heard this story before...you may have even been the main character in it at one point (and that point might be right now...).

But success doesn't come from finding the "perfect" time to start,

👉 It comes from continuing to show up, even when the timing isn't perfect.

And if you are REALLY interested in building new habits and changing your life,

Then you won't wait until things "slow down" to get back on track.

Instead you'll commit yourself to showing up, consistently, for yourself and your health.

Now, don't confuse consistency with perfection.

Consistency isn't never falling off the horse.

Consistency is simply brushing yourself off and getting back on when you do.

...without guilting, shaming, or chastising yourself.

But here's the thing, if you don't SHOW UP to the stables in the first place, you'll NEVER get better at staying on the horse.

So, this holiday season, make a commitment to yourself to keep showing up.

Let it be messy,

Let it be imperfect,

But just keep showing up.
