Are You Doing the Things You Know You Should Be Doing?

Did you know that eating vegetables, managing stress effectively and getting daily physical activity along with 7-8 hours of sleep per night is good for you?

 

You did?

 

Shocker!

 

Sarcasm aside,

 

I think it's safe to say that you have a general idea of what you should be doing to improve your health, your weight and your happiness,

 

...but are you actually doing those things?

 

And not just for "Dry January" or a 30-day challenge or a 2-week "detox"...

 

Are you consistently engaging with the behaviors that you KNOW are good for you?

 

Because if you aren't,

 

Get honest with yourself...

 

How much time and energy are you spending on searching for more answers about WHAT to do?

 

Like reading articles about the benefits of strength training...

Or watching documentaries about "Blue Zones"...

Or saving healthy meal prep recipes on Pinterest...

 

VERSUS

 

The amount of time and energy you spend on learning HOW to do those things?

 

How to fit them into YOUR life...

How to break them down into small, manageable steps...

How to adapt when things don't go according to plan...

 

Because you can KNOW all the "right" things to do,

 

But it doesn't really matter if you aren't taking ACTION on any of those things.

 

And if you've never worked with a coach before,

 

Then you might think that when you work with me, I'm just going to tell you WHAT to do (and scold you when you don't do it).

 

But the coaching relationship is roughly 30% education, 70% implementation (oh and 0% scolding).

 

You don't need me to tell you WHAT to do as much as you need me to guide you in HOW to do it.
